WARNING – ABS FDM vs. PA12 MJF Printed Parts
When choosing between ABS FDM and PA12 MJF printed parts, here’s what you need to know. ABS FDM parts are made with a common plastic (ABS) using a layer-by-layer printing process. These parts are durable but can warp and have a rougher finish with visible lines. PA12 MJF parts, made with high-performance nylon (PA12) using advanced printing technology, are exceptionally strong, durable, and have a smooth, detailed finish. The snap clips on our side skirt covers made with PA12 MJF will last longer and perform better. For the best quality and longevity, we recommend choosing PA12 MJF parts. For Mercedes owners, the challenge of finding a replacement for a lost or damaged jack pad cover is all too familiar. With the original plastic tabs prone to degradation over time and official replacements no longer in production, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to create a cost effective solution.

Our replicas are designed using CAD technology and are manufactured utilizing Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) process. This method offers a cost effective solution over other 3D printing techniques such as Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM). The material from which the covers are printed is ABS.
